Christine and I are both members of the local Association of Christian Writers local group where authors read excerpts and share ideas. We have enjoyed fellowship with her and appreciated the poems she has shared. I have blogged a couple and included them in my books.
Christine started writing poems after a major cancer operation in 1990 and has many published in magazines and newsletters. A member of the Church Army and married to a military chaplain she travelled the world and pastored on a number of military bases, experiences which inspired many of her poems. Sadly Christine was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer and, now approaching ninety, she has collected together thirty years of inspiration in the hope the poems will be a continuing witness to the Lord. Funny, sad, topical, insightful and humorous, this is a collection to savour.
