Beyond Christmas

‘Twas the week before Christmas
And all through the land
Cash tills were ringing
As money changed hands.

‘Twas the week before Christmas
And tinsel was hung,
Excitement was filling
The hearts of the young.

‘Tis the week after Christmas,
The cards have come down.
We’ve binned all the tinsel,
Where has the joy gone?

‘Tis the week after Christmas
And Jesus remains.
He’s always there with us
In joy and in pain.

‘Tis the year after Christmas
And God is still here.
He’ll never desert us,
There’s no need to fear..

So remember though Christmas
Just comes once a year,
The reason for Christmas
Is JESUS IS HERE!.
